RIP Oscar :'(
I'm very upset because unfortunately, Oscar at Kamogawa Sea World in Japan died yesterday. :(
I was so sad, I cried. This is the first time an orca has died since I
got to know each individual personality of all the different killer
whales, and it really hurts. I'm making a tribute for him, and I hope
it'll be good because Oscar had one of the kindest, gentlest
personalities of all captive killer whales. For example, despite his
HUGE size, he was always really gentle and loving towards his trainers,
and that is how he did waterwork, even when he a huge bull almost the
size of Tilikum! I'm so depressed he's died, but what's really creepy is
that quite a while ago, I predicted that the next orca to die in
captivity would have a curved dorsal fin like Oscar. :S I really love
the Japanese pods, and I actually hope to see both of them one day, both
at Kamogawa and Nagoya. And after Stella, Oscar was my favourite
Japanese orca :'( Gosh, I'm so sad. To read more about Oscar, nip over
to my Orca Worldwide blog www.orcaworldwide.blogspot.com and read all about it. Time to work on my tribute again now... :'(

I'm Tired
I'm so flippin' tired it's unreal! :( I have done literally NOTHING today, but once I've uploaded an MEP part, I'm going to start work on.... wait for it.... a WLMM project! Because it's got some fairly nice effects and I want to try them out! In fact, my MEP part just finished rendering. So bye.

Random Stuff
I'm very bored, so I thought I might as well write a wee blog! :D Erm... I have nothing to blog about... erm... I got my first detention on Monday :S It was because I didn't hand my science book in (what a lame excuse for a detention XD) but I got left off because I was having an injection needle stuck into my arm at the time! So technically I have still got my perfect 0 detentions. :D In other news... well there is no other news! My life has been so uneventful it's unreal. I miss SeaWorld sooooo much! But my dad might be getting a job down in Bristol, so then we might be able to afford another trip to Florida! Yay!

Inspiration Has Run Dry
I'm watching the X Factor final, not really sure why because I haven't been watching it. I don't like it much this year. :/ Anyways, I'm COMPLETELY out of inspiration for my videos. I'm so unhappy really :( I might not even do half of the video projects I'd planned on. ME SAD!!! Oh well, enough of me whining. I'm going. Bye! :D

- ""First Snow MEP"- the outcome of my MEP for Christmas time
- "Spirit of the Season"- my Christmas video

A Bit Random But Whatever XD
Well I was on YouTube and I found this video most hilarious:
OMG I was laughing so hard and I haven't even watched Saw. I didn't get it the first time round but then I read the storyline, watched it again and realized how funny it was. Enjoy folks XD
Video Ideas
Well I've been thinking some ideas for videos and this is what I came up with:
- A video about Narnia, a killer whale captured in August this year who seems to be hardly known about at all
- A video to a piece from Harry Potter called The Resurrection Stone
- A video to a Two Steps From Hell song, because TSFH rock almost as much as TSO ^^

Two New Records For Me!
I think I broke my record on the amount of days between a blog post! XD Anyway, I've taken up vlogging but I don't really have much to vlog about. Isn't that annoying? Apart from that, the only other exciting thing to happen in my life is I got 13 out of 20 in my first Chinese test. Yay. That's all.
Come to think of it, I just broke my personal record for my shortest blog entry too. My fingers are tired of typing.

Fighting For Taiji's Dolphins!
I am today beginning my short video on the dolphin captured and slaughters that take place in Japan. So that means I'm gathering footage of wild dolphins in Japan, and I'm going to use it to create a video about the slaughters and captures. A few other people have done in recently, getting ready for 2014's Taiji Summit. I am making my own. I think I might start a new Tumblr blog, called "Be the Change". Nope, that's already taken... How about... "Be The Change Taiji". That can be the blog address, so that's that then! :D www.bethechangetaiji.tumblr.com. I just created it now!
Well that's all from me, but I'm will now be off working to protect all of Taji's beautiful dolphins! :D

My Video So Far
Well my Hello Zepp video so far has finally finished rendering after 42 minutes so my laptop is working at it's normal pace again (although that's pretty slow too). I've made a few silly mistakes but here it is so far:
I forgot to edit some of the clips to make them black and white, but oh well I can easily fix that! I'm taking a break from Hello Zepp now (it's been stuck in my head for the last few days) and I'm going to work on the dedication to my friend Freya instead. :D
Let's Talk About MEPs!
I've spent most of today working on MEPs and my Hello Zepp project, which is rendering right now and making my laptop because ridiculously slow. I finished my part for PacificOrcas' MEP, which I really like, so here it is:
I am obsessed with it and.... I USED OTHER PEOPLE'S FOOTAGE! It was exciting stuff, I've only ever used someone else's footage once. XD Anyway, I've still got about 8 more parts to do and as for my Archangel MEP, I only have one more part to come in! Yay! Then I can host another MEP! Bigger yay! It's so fun and it's a great way of cheating if you want to make a video to a song but can't be bothered to! XD
That's all I've got to say, other than the fact that there is lots of fog around here today and I really don't like it. CURSE THE WEATHER! :(

Luna!! :D
Well Lovey's calf has FINALLY got a name: Luna!!! I love it! :D Read more about it in my other blog, Orca Worldwide, www.orcaworldwide.blogspot.com because I cannot be bothered to type everything out again. I'm still ill, but I feel a bit better. Woo hoo! :) Also, my friend Freya's murder mystery is now tomorrow, so I'm happy about that too!
I've just finished watching I'm A Celeb so that's about it for me. I'm off to finish my part of PacificOrcas' MEP now. :D

Hello Zepp
NOTE: If your name is Zepp (is that even a name?!?!) then I'm sorry, but this post isn't about you.
Okay well I decided to make my video to Hello Zepp, which is the theme song for the Saw films (haven't watched them but I'm in love with the music). Saw is a horror film, so it's supposed to be scary. My video is creepy, perhaps, but not scary. Anway, it's taking FOREVER to make but this is the latest preview (it's not even on YouTube!) :
It's not that bad, is it? Can I just say that I picked the font for my watermark for 2 reasons:
1) The font is called "Bates Shower" and my surname is Bates XD
2) The lower-case letter "o" looks a bit like a little saw, which I suppose keeps in with the song in a slightly weird way... lol
So that's about it from me. I'm off to work on my video now. Byeeee :)

A Tiring Couple of Days
Meh. I'm tired. On Friday, I went to my friend Lilly's house for a sleepover and after going to Pizza Hut, spending an hour in Blockbusters and watched Black Swan, we didn't get to sleep til 5 o'clock in the morning. And then we went into town shopping. I got home at about 3:30, and half an hour later I was out going to lifeguard. And it was hard this week! We did lots of stamina! :'( But I was with Alex and Yeva so it wasn't too bad! XD Anyways, after that I went to my gran's house and we watched lots of Primeval and I'm A Celebrity. And now today, I feel ill. So I feel tired again. Grr.
Also, I'm thinking of making a new video to "Hello Zepp". Maybe.

Sorry, I'm obsessed XD

Well This is Awkward...
Remember how I went on and on and on about how I didn't like the look of Primeval: New World from the official trailer? Well, I hate to admit it, but... I actually really like it. Awkward. :$ It's still not at good as the original Primeval, but I do like it! And I especially like the fact that they creators of New World are releasing clips of the dinosaurs which you can use to make your own movies.
So yes, I've made a right fool of myself but oh well :P

"Orca Oceans", My Upcoming Book Project
I am working on a book, believe it or not! ^_^ It is called Orca Oceans and focuses on the Japanese 8-year-old Nishi the killer whale as she faces the many dangers of the ocean. Whether it's being captured for aquaria, finding the devastating effects of illegal bomb fishing or drowning in abandoned nets, my book has a kind of conservation theme. And yes, it may appear to be anti-captivity, but it's actually more like anti-capture. I got the idea from three main things: Morgan, the orca that was captured as part of a rescue but instead of being released, was sent to Loro Parque when she was perfectly healthy and her pod had been found; Narnia, who was captured off the coast of Russia in August this year; and two dolphins named Hope and Faith (formerly Sad and Lonely), because they spent ages in the a tiny indoor pool (much like the one Nishi lives in) and were eventually put into a sea pen after protests (this is again, what happens to Nishi in the story).
So that is my inspirations for Orca Oceans! There may also be some sequels, set in locations beside of Japan. I've had ideas for the locations, including Indonesia, New Zealand and perhaps even Antarctica. Either way, I'm on to Chapter II so far, and I have completed the overall storyline. Tell me what you think! ^_^

Nishi
is a young killer whale who lives Anzen'na Cove, Japan. While
swimming with her sister Kita in Himitsu Cove, she discovers the
wreck of a submarine and a small black box which is identical to the
one features in her worst nightmare where the pod is destroyed. Nishi
vows never to enter that cove again, however after her other sister
Arashi announces some shocking news, she finds herself there again.
She dives down at a random point, and finds herself back at the wreck
of the sub and the black box. Nishi panics and flees Himitsu. On her
way back to her home cove, Nishi gets lost and ends up in Taiji Cove,
where she is captured and taken to Tanoshi Aquarium. Here, she is
placed in a large but shallow sea pen with her trainer Hayako in
charge of looking after her. Nishi is trained to do tricks, but being
unusually weak, she cannot perform and is placed in a tiny indoor
pool with no light and fresh air. Only able to swim in tight circles
and float at the surface, Nishi is reduced to a tiny, thin form of
herself. However, Hayako realizes that she cannot look after a killer
whale in these conditions and protests for Nishi to be moved back
into the sea pen. It is successful and while in the sea pen one
night, Nishi manages to leap over the net and escapes. Back in the
ocean, she searches for her pod but is unable to find them. After
seeing a large and potentially dangerous fishing boat, she looks in
Anzen'na Cove, only to find it has been wrecked from what is was as a
result of illegal bomb fishing. In despair, Nishi tries every cove
nearby- Taiji, Kriken and Yushocku- only to find them empty.
Eventually, she goes to Himitsu Cove where she finds her entire pod
in the abyss with the submarine and the black box. Her pod are
overjoyed to see her, but ignore Nishi's warning as they then try to
open the box, which they believe will sort out their food shortages.
Unaware of the fishing boat directly above the pod, Arashi manages to
open the box. However her calf Wakai, who has now been born, swims
off to the surface. The pod follows, only to find Wakai trapped in
the fishing boat's nets. The humans on board abandon the nets, and in
their fury, Arashi and Kita try to attack the boat. They are both
sucked into one of the propellers in the process and although they
both survive, Arashi is horribly mutated and loses one tail fluke and
her dorsal fin, and Kita has deep wounds all along her body. Arashi
then tries to rescue her drowning calf with the help of Nishi and
Kita. The rest of the pod leaves, not realizing that Nishi is missing
and presuming that Arashi and Kita are dead. Kita rushes into help
Arashi, who is now tangled herself and with the combined effort of
the three whales, Wakai finally swims free. Nishi guides him to the
surface, where he hurries off to join the pod. Meanwhile, Kita has
helped Arashi to get untangled, but is now stuck herself. She tells
Arashi and Nishi to leave, and although the former does go, Nishi
refuses to leave her sister's side. Realizing it it too late to help,
as Kita is now fully unconscious, but still not giving up, Nishi
lifts her sister to the surface, and although Kita makes one last
attempt to survive, the cuts in her body are bleeding too badly for
her to stand and, as she looks at Nishi for the last time, Kita dies.
Nishi lets her body sink down to join the submarine which she
discovered, and realizes that her nightmare was more than just a
dream.

They weren't supposed to do that, so I coudln't write or move my arm all day. In fact it hurts as I'm typing now!!! :(
But now I'm watching Takeshi's Castle, which has cheered me up greatly XD

Back to School Tomorrow D:
Not looking forward to school tomorrow! I don't wanna go back!! :( :( :( Oh well. Well yesterday, Lilly came for a sleepover, and after she'd gone I spent the day doing nothing again. Me and Dad walked Gizmo (my dog) around Drinkfield Marsh this evening, but that has been about it really. I feel like I've really wasted my half term week off but it's too late now I guess.
And I'm also getting scared by the loud fireworks outside. They're so loud I FELT the last one!! :( And they sound like gunshots, so I'm not happy.

Bored Bored Bored Bored Bored
I'm so bored today it's UNREAL! Tomorrow is the last day of half-term and so far I've done pretty much nothing! All I've done is go to Whitby (we were supposed to be fossil-hunting on the beach but the tide was in so we just walked around and took pictures) and go shopping at the Metro Centre. And yes, while I did buy some nice stuff at the Metro, it was still tiring and by the end of the day I was quite fed up. But I did like that cupcake I bought. So yes, I am bored stiff. I have NO ideas whatsoever for a video edit, I'm sick of doing MEP parts and there is no one on Skype. Tomorrow we might be doing something. But we probably won't.

Halloween!
Tonight is Halloween night! I didn't go trick or treating, mainly because Freya's murder mystery night I was going to was cancelled. :( Either way, it was still fun. I carved my pumpkin into the shape of a killer whale (no surprise there then XD) and that's about it really. It took me about an hour to do the pumpkin, and after that all I've really done is finish my Halloween collab which awesome. Then I watched wootirockx's Saw MEP for Halloween and it made me sad because my video wasn't anywhere near as good. But the participants did all have Sony Vegas. I might be getting it, because I found one for £41 on Amazon. ;) Hooray! I might finally make half-decent videos! But I might not get it, because the iPad Mini is really expensive, but then if I get Sony Vegas for Christmas, along with a TSO album or two, that should be Christmas presents sorted for me! I'll ask about it. Also, a new TSO EP was released!!! OMG I might just die with excitement! :D :D :D It's called "Dreams of Fireflies" and it sounds epic from the iTunes previews I've heard. I just need to redeem my iTunes voucher, then it'll me all mine!! Mwhahahaha!! Sorry I'm a bit hyper. Well that's about it for today, but tomorrow I'm going shopping at the Metro Centre at Newcastle! Woo hoo!

Prehistoric Dolphins ;D
Well researching prehistoric whales and dolphins at 10 o'clock at night isn't really the brightest of ideas, but I decided to do a video special about them for YouTube, considering that it ties in with my 3 favourite things: Dolphins (kinda obvious), Primeval (dinosaurs and the past) and TSO (background music ;D). So I have found a few strange ones, including a walrus-like narwhal, dolphins with long snouts and an early pilot whale. Next task is drawing them -_- . Not looking forward to it because I CAN'T DRAW!!! Full stop. End of discussion.

My Opinion on Primeval: New World
Primeval: New World premiered today. I didn't watch it. I can't because it's not airing on any channels over here in England. I did watch a bit of the original and BEST Primeval though (most of series 4 hehe) and enjoyed it. Anyway, I watched the trailer for New World on YouTube and guess what? It looks rubbish compared to the REAL Primeval. So I came up with this little list. Please enjoy my rant against Primeval: New World here :)
8 GOOD REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T WATCH PRIMEVAL NEW WORLD:
8 GOOD REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T WATCH PRIMEVAL NEW WORLD:
- You call that a dinosaur? I call that a cheap CGI graphic that I could have created using my 3D modelling program. Which is free to download off the Internet.
- None of the original characters we have come to know and love are in it, bar Conor for two episodes.
- It's not even about the anomalies or the dinosaurs. It looks to be more about the characters than anything else.
- That is not an anomaly! That's just a stupid white glowing light with a few triangles spinning round it! Where is that glassy golden anomaly that looks far more beautiful and realistic!?!?
- I see plenty of already used creatures in the trailer. Creatures from the original Primeval, like: terror birds, pteranodon, albertosaurous. They're also including some really unimaginative creatures, like the triceratops.
- Doesn't look like there's going to be any humor whatsoever.
- The 'past' looks like it's made out of plasticine. I'm not even joking.
- THERE ISN'T AN ARC! PRIMEVAL ISN'T PRIMEVAL WITHOUT THE ARC!!!!

Video Edits :)
Hello. I'm working on some video edits, and my first MEP is coming along really nicely, because everyone is doing such an incredible job. Haha my part is by far the worst!! XD Anyways, I'm planning to upload it on Halloween because that seems like a good time. And mine and Stella's Halloween collab will be uploaded then to!!! Woo hoo!! :D I'm also working on a music video to Something Far Greater. It seems like a bit of an obvious song, I know, what with the fact SeaWorld used it for 5 years, but I think when you combine it with clips of trainers and orcas in the water together, you can create a pretty emotional video. Of course, it will fail miserably with the emotional side but oh well... Hopefully it'll be done soon :)

iPad Mini, McDonald's and New Photos
I found out today that I am getting an iPad Mini for Christmas!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D As you might have guessed, I am very happy about that news, because I absolutely adore iPads and I'm jealous of people that have them. :P And it's going to be engraved with the words 'anything is possible when you believe' on the back :) . I went to McDonald's for lunch, except when we got there, my dad realized he'd left his wallet at home and we had to drive all the way back to get it -_- . I also uploaded some new photos onto Flickr and they're quite good really :D . This is my favourite:
It's a lionfish!!! :) Anyways, I need to get ready for my lifeguard lesson now so bye. I might blog again later if I can be bothered :D

First Snow :D
Well today, guess what? It snowed!!! And the first half-term at school is over, so I get a week to relax. And play in the snow. Hehe. :P So yes, today we got our first snow. And I wanted to share this little verse from a TSO song:
"From London, Rome and Paris
To Berlin and Tokyo
Winter never really starts
Until it's given it's first snow"
So true! <3

Panic Attacks and Tumblr!
I have a bit to write about so here we go. On Monday we went to Planet Leisure with Guides and I did this high ropes course and while I was there, at the top of the course, I had a panic attack. Why me!?! :( Anyways, I had to get off and that was the end of that. I was hyperventilating and that made me really dizzy and light-headed, but that went away. :P And now onto yesterday. I went swimming in the morning, made some maids of honor and got a Tumblr account!!!! :D Today, I bought a newspaper because it had a picture of a killer whale on the front XDDD . It was an article about the "Rust and Bone" film coming soon. Also, I'm working on a collab with my friend Stella for Halloween. It will be on YouTube on 31st October obviously. So that's about it really. Have a nice day everyone!!

Blue Reef Aquarium!!!!!!!!!!!! :D MEPs!!!!!!!!!!!!
Helloooo!! Today I went to Blue Reef Aquarium at Tynemouth, and saw lots of interesting things. I had a seal interaction and talked to the trainers, but I'm too lazy to write about it so if you would like to read about it, click here. Also, I've signed up to a Cetacean Species MEP on YouTube, and I picked the bottlenose dolphin. Sometimes I forget just how incredible they are, but if it wasn't for them, this blog wouldn't exist and my life would be completely different. Even just sat here, in my dolphin bedroom with my laptop with the dolphin image on the back, would be completely different. So yeah.... bottlenose dolphins ROCK!!!! <3 <3 <3
And my first video with Serif MoviePlus has just finished rendering! So it's time to get that onto YouTube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

New Video Program!! :D
I downloaded a free version of Serif MoviePlus and I LOVE it!!!! It's got so many different effects and text fonts and it's so much fun experimenting! I WAS making a video to Fun.'s "Some Nights" but the file corrupted when I saved it. :( So I'm starting again, but right now, I'm off to the park with my friends. So bye.

Germany, Here I Come! :D
I know I've posted soooooo many times today, but this is super exciting. Here we go.....
I'M ALLOWED TO GO ON THE GERMANY TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh I think I might die with excitement :D :D We go to different German cities, go a German school in Darlo's twin town in Germany (woo!!), go to a German swimming pool, have a barbecue and, best of all, we go to Duisburg Zoo!!! And that means dolphins and Amazon river dolphins!! :D :D I love Amazon river dolphins sooo much, but I'm going to have to improve my German skills a wee bit :P . Auf wiedersehen! XD

And that means dolphins and Amazon river dolphins!! :D :D I love Amazon river dolphins sooo much, but I'm going to have to improve my German skills a wee bit :P . Auf wiedersehen! XD
New Blog
I deleted the Orcadorable blog, it seemed a bit pointless the more I think about it. That's all :)
New Blog!!! And Stuff!!
Today was a fun day :) Mainly because in Science, we spent most the lesson listening to Gangnam Style and other songs while running around the classroom. It was to find how our bodies react to doing aerobic exercise. As usual, mine was really weird. Instead of me taking more breaths per minute after a minute of exercise, I actually took less breaths. :S Dodgy!! Also, I might be going to Germany as well as France/Belgium next year! And while we're there, we are visiting a zoo with.... BOTTLENOSE AND AMAZON RIVER DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might just die with excitement!!!! :D :D :D :D :D I really hope I can go!!!
Also, I have created yet another blog (my 3rd :P) which is everything to do with YouTube, Flickr, DeviantART etc. Check it out:

Starfruit!! :D
Well I'm going to bed soon, but I'm bored so I thought I'd post something. Right now, I'm listening to the Requiem For A Dream soundtrack (as always :P) and I'm eating starfruit! It's so epic, it looks like a star :o ! It tastes weird but it's really nice and tasty. I think the last time I had it was in Florida. *sigh* I miss Florida and SeaWorld a lot :( . Oh well. Oh no! All my starfruit has gone and the song finished!!! NOOOO!!! I have to go to bed now sadly. :( :( :( Bye.
This has been a bit of a random and weird post, hasn't it?? :P

Amazing Weekend in Blackpool!!!
Well today was a pretty rubbish day, because it was school. :( But my weekend was AMAZING!!! We went to Blackpool for the weekend to stay with some relatives and it was really fun. On Saturday, we went to the Zoo and I watched two of the sealion shows, and talked to one of the trainers for at least half and hour (hehehe typical me XD) afterwards. There were also some giraffes, and Dylan (my... erm... I don't actually know how he's related to me but he's 2 years old) loved them. It was so cute. :3 He didn't want to leave! There were some elephants too- they were huge- and an anteater, which was cool because I'd never seen one of them before. There was tonnes of other animals too, including the biggest tortoise I have ever seen!!! I took no photos, but I nearly filled the Flip Camcorder with lots of videos. :P I WILL POST THEM!!! I PROMISE!!! We went to a restaurant that evening then walked along the illuminations. It was after midnight when we got back (the illuminations are switched off then)!! I was so tired, I just collapsed into my bed and fell asleep. And now onto Sunday. We went to the SeaLife Centre and there was lots of cool stuff. (no killer whales or dolphins, sadly) They had blacktip reef sharks! <3 <3 <3 And other stuff, but I'm too lazy to write. Anyway, after that we went to St. Anne's on the way back, then we got home at about half past eight. Fun!

A Really Bad Day
Today started of good enough. Chinese is always fun, and I did lots of writing which is a good thing because I LOVE writing in Chinese!!! :D But it got very bad in Science. My best friend Zoe passed out and fell backwards off her stool in the process, and I think she hit her head off the door as she fell, and then hit her face on the floor. It was so, so scary and horrible!!!! I hated it. :'( :'( :'( She had to go the hospital, but she's home now and hopefully she'll be back at school soon! Love you Zoe!! xoxoxoxoxo

Russian Orca Update
Hello, it's me again and I've got some new info from Orcahome.de about the Russian orca that was captured a few months ago. Well first of all, the orca is a female and her name is possibly Narnia, although this hasn't been confirmed yet. She is about 16 feet long, which means she is roughly 6 years old, so she is the same age as Malia in SeaWorld Orlando. I feel so sorry for Narnia, she's still really quite young, although not as young as most orcas that are captured. Also, her current home at the TINRO Centre is only temporary while she is being trained. She is still owned to Sochi Dolphinarium, who captured her. Once she is trained, it is believed she is either going back to Sochi Dolphinarium, or a new aquarium called Vladivostok Aquarium or maybe even somewhere outside of Russia entirely.
So yes, there's photos and information to go with all of this. I don't want to post the photos on here, but you can find them by following this link:

You can also find some more information here:

Hopefully there will be even more information coming soon :)

Big Gig!!!
Well yesterday I went with Guides to the Big Gig, which is like a concert for Guides only and lots of cool people perform. OMG SCOUTING FOR GIRLS AND LITTLE MIX WERE THERE!!!!!!!!!!! Hehe sorry I got a bit too excited. :P So yeah... we set of at 10:15am in the bus and drove to Sheffield (waving at everyone we saw ^^) and had our lunch on the bus. Then, me and my friends went to buy merchandise and we got crushed by the crowds a lot but in the end I managed to buy my t-shirt, wristband, notebook and badge etc. The concert started with JLS and I was thinking 'ugh' because I don't like them much but actually they were really good :) . Then there were other cool people like Angel, Amelia Lily, Lawson (Alice was so happy XD), Little Mix, Conor Maynard and Scouting For Girls to name a few. I filmed almost every performance on my Flip camcorder :D . Who was the best? Hmm... I think I'm gonna have to say Scouting For Girls because wow, they were just amazing. I was tired when we got back, but was only quartre to 8 so I cooked my tea. It was nice.
Hopefully, I'll post a little video thing of Big Gig very soon :)

A Crazy Couple of Days
Hello! :) Yesterday, I went to Saltburn with school. Woo!!! It was a geography trip, which makes it slightly less "woo"-ish but oh well it was still better than a day of schoolwork. We weren't allowed ANYWHERE near the sea which annoyed me greatly but we say this adorable miniature Yorkshire terrier called Tilly that was wearing a little red knitted jumper (too cute!!! :D) and I spend £5.30 out of my £8 on one of the nicest fish and chips I have ever had! We also went to Marske afterwards and I found some fossils to add to my very small collection of fossil-ish stuff. It's a small collection but they are all ones I have found myself. :) I had my keyboard lesson afterwards, of course, and it went good. I've got lots of scales to practice for next week ^^. I can do most of them, but doing the C major scale with my left AND right hands with different fingering at the same time is HARD! Aaarrghhh! Today, I have been just constantly yawning and tired, but it was another alright school day. Art was alright. We drew drawings of people in shelters during WW2. Science was alright. We were doing a thing about particle theory which involved me filming Alex, Lucy, Cerys and Freya pretending to be particles and running into each other while Anna blew a hairdryer on them. Oh the fun we have in science! XD Maths was awful. We had an assessment and I only knew how to do a couple of the questions. :( Thank goodness I'm quite good at trigonometry! After lunch, we had French. We talked to this French woman called Charlotte about where we lived and that. It was unbelievably awkward. I didn't have a clue whereabouts my house was in relation to the rest of Darlington, so I had a guess and said it was in south Darlington. Turns out I live on the west side but oh well ^^. Then we had English in the LRC. Sadly that meant something really bad: NO "STONE COLD"!!!! I love that book, it's freaking amazing, but no- instead we had to continue our volcano project. How is that even English?!?! Then it was time for home. So yeah... that has been my day! :)
And please follow me on Instagram! I'm xshelterfromthestorm . Bye!

A Day With Alex
Today I went to my friend Alex's house and we had a ton of fun. We went to Ellerton Lake (where I sometimes dive) with her dog and her parents. On the way, I went really dizzy and felt sick so I moved to the front seat... where I was then sick. It wasn't very nice :( . But after that I felt fine. Me and Alex went in the play area (we tied the dog's lead to the fireman's pole and he was running in circles) and we were being so crazy! I've got lots of it on camera! After we'd been at the lake for a bit, we went back to Alex's house and we played on her iPad, then we decided to make a cake. We couldn't decide what recipe to do so we just chucked lots of stuff in a bowl, whisked it then slopped in on a tray and baked it. We only added the egg when we'd already poured half of the mixture but still... XD it was fun! While it baked, we played some tunes on the piano and when it was ready, we ate it (it wasn't particularly tasty) and watched The Hunger Games. Sadly, I had to go for my Rookie Lifeguard lesson. It was soooo hard!! We had to do 16 lengths in 12 minutes. Easy... until you do it in pyjamas!!!! I only did 13 of them, unfortunately :( . But the rest was fun, we did more work with the towbags, which are always fun :P. How fun. Also, I've lately become obsessed with this fairly old book called Stone Cold. Put it this way: it's so old, that Yugoslavia still existed when it was written! We are reading it at school in English, but we read it as a class soooo slow that I read ahead and I've almost finished it. It's quite a scary book, and some parts kina disturb me a bit, but it's good. So yeah... the end! ;)

Nakai Update
It now appears that the incident that caused Nakai to lose a dinner-plate-sized chunk of his chin was maybe not after he hit himself off the side of the pool after all, and perhaps that Keet and Ikaika were responsible. PETA are saying that it was a collision between Nakai, Keet and Ikaika. But what does PETA actually know?!?! I hate them, and once again, as they always do, they're taking advantage of a poor orca's misfortune and exploiting it as part of their 'boycott SeaWorld' propaganda. Another awful thing I would like to point out is that the chunk of flesh Nakai lost was big enough that the trainers went down and retrieved it after the show :( . Either way, I hope that this will all become clear soon and that our little Nakai gets better quickly.
2 Orca Captured: One Dead, One to be Sold
I recently found out that in August, 2 killer whales were captured in the Sea of Okhotsk, Russia by Sochi Dolphinarium in Adler. One is mostly likely dead, but the other was transported to the Sochi Dolphinarium and later a dolphinarium called the TINRO centre at Vladivostok, where the owners may be possibly selling him to an aquarium abroad. It has also been revealed that the old owner of Sochi Dolphinarium tried to capture killer whales in the Sea Okhotsk in August, and succeeded. However, these killer whales escaped, thank God.
This brings me on to the subject of where our little orca friend may be going next. SeaWorld would never take in a captured orca, so I doubt the whale will be going to SeaWorld or Loro Parque. I also doubt that Marineland Antibes would import a wild-caught killer whale. So that leaves the following options:

I also doubt that Marineland Antibes would import a wild-caught killer whale. So that leaves the following options:
- Miami Seaquarium- Please no, it'll be a tragedy if the orca comes here. Their conditions are terrible and the pool is tiny but there is a chance as Tokitae is getting old now.
- MarineLand Ontario- At least Kiska will have company, but MarineLand doesn't take very good care of their orcas, or any of their animals really, but at least the pool is quite big.
- Mundo Marino- It's another small pool, all the way in Argentina, with only Kshamenk for company. Doesn't look likely.
- Kamogawa Sea World- Their pool is small and quite crammed, so chances of this happening are slim.
- Port of Nagoya- Probably the best marine park fro the orca to go to. A nice big pool complex and other orcas to swim with. It could happen.
- The new park in Romania- It could be possible that the killer whale will be sold to the new park planned to open in Romania. If the details about it are correct, the orca pool with be a 30m-deep basin. Sounds good to me.
Nakai Gets Hurt During "Shamu Rocks"
11-year-old Nakai is suffering from horrendous injuries after an incident that took place during Shamu Rocks on 20th September. Although I'm not sure what happened, it seems that it had something to do with the pool walls and Keet and Ikaika. It sounds to me like maybe Keet and Ike were raking poor Nakai and he rammed into the wall. Either way, poor Nakai has now got a huge chunk of flesh missing from his chin. It's so bad you can actually see the bone! He's now in the medical pool, where he is getting antibiotics. He's also interacting with some of the other whales too and the trainers are happy with how the wound is healing. Basically, an incident occurred during Shamu Rocks on 20th September involving Keet, Ikaika and Nakai. Afterwards, Nakai fled to the back pools, but the trainers continued the show with the other whales, unaware at how badly injured he was. Only when they called him over did they realize he had a chunk of his chin missing. Hopefully, Nakai will get better, but there is a chance he will end up like Splash, another killer whale who rammed into the wall while having a seizure. Afterwards, he had all of his front teeth removed and could no longer shut his mouth. But fingers crossed that Nakai will be alright...

The Average Thursday
Nothing much happened today, other than we watched videos about ghosts in science (don't ask...) and videos filmed with thermal cameras. Then, I was told that I had a place on the WW1 trip to France/Belgium. Woo!!! I had my keyboard lesson after school, which went very well indeed. :) Always good when you're doing your Grade 1 exam at the end of November! I'm nervous about it, really. I've just finished my trigonometry homework and got 57%. The first half was easy and I got 100% on that, but the second part was much harder and I couldn't figure out how to do it. So my day has been ghost videos, music and trigonometry. And thinking of the killer whales, as always! ;)

Cooking, and Tilikum Ill?
It has finally stopped raining now! :D It's great, and today at school in DT I cooked some pasta sauce that contained some tomatoes, onion, garlic, chicken, mushrooms and some other stuff too. Amazingly, nothing went wrong, which is a first in DT as something always seems to go wrong. The worst part was spending 20 minutes of my life scraping fat off raw chicken fillets but... my chicken is now fat-free! ;) So yeah... the sauce is actually really nice!
In sadder news, it seems that something has happened to Tilikum at SeaWorld. He hasn't performed for several months and it seems that he is ill a lot. I really hope nothing bad happens, but I think that he's maybe getting worse...

More Rain
It hasn't stopped raining yet! It's still going. Is it EVER going to stop!?!?!? All the motorways are flooded and everything and I couldn't even get to my swimming lesson on the other side of town because the river than runs through town seems to have burst and now there's tonnes of traffic!!!! Ahhh it's horrible!! So I'm stuck here at home instead. We had extended form time this morning too because some of our teachers couldn't get into school because of the weather and traffic. So I drew a picture of Trua. <3 On the bright side, I put my name down for the France/Belgium trip so hopefully I'm going to that. Fingers crossed! ;) Also, I'm thinking of changing my blog a bit (not a lot though) because the font that this is written in isn't really easy to read and my image at the top doesn't really show off my Photoshop skills, does it? I'll think about it.

Good Ol' British Weather
It has rained non-stop today. I just walked home through it all with Alice and Olivia and I was so soaked that when I got changed out of my uniform, I needed a towel to get dry. Seriously bad weather. :( Apart from that, it's been a fun day! Our RE teacher, Miss Brown, was plotting against one of the maths teachers after he pulled the labels of her tins of soup which, unbeknown to him, were for our Harvest Festival. XD It was funny. I also played a bit of water polo this morning before school and it was a fun match. I was a defender as always and I did some amazing defending today. So that is my day. It is still raining. It is blowing a gale out there. But I am nice and warm and dry. :)

Just Me And The Dolphins + Adventures in the Park
If you would like to read all about my work towards becoming a trainer, you can visit my new blog, called Just Me And The Dolphins. You can visit it here:
www.justmeandthedolphins.blogspot.com
Today, I took Gizmo to the South Park and straight away, he was chasing after the squirrels. :P It was amusing, until I had to run through a bush and low tree branches to keep hold of the lead. I didn't appreciate that at all. :/ He also growled at a few geese and some other dogs (Gizmo's like that :P) and sniffed around. There were loads of squirrels though, which wasn't good news for me... Either way, we had a fun day at the park. :) And that is my day.

No Russia Trip For Me
I'm disappointed that my mum said I wasn't allowed to go to Russia with school because you stay with a Russian family and my mum doesn't like that idea. :'( So it looks like I'll be going to... France... again. Maybe with a bit of Belgium too if I go on the WW1 trip, which is the one most my friends are planning on going on. Oh well, we'll see.

Hello :)
Hello again. Today was fairly decent day at school. Swimming in the morning before school started, playing netball at lunchtime and so on. Nice weather too, even though it was quite cold :( . We got the school trips booklets today too! Wooooo! I'm excited to announce that I might be going to Russia for 11 days in April with school, which will be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Either that or France, where you can go canoeing, rock climbing and kayaking for 10 days. Or France and Belgium to look at the WW1 battlefields (I'm quite interested in WW1 and stuff like that, but I think that one might be a wee bit depressing). Either way, looks like I'm going to somewhere exciting next year. And in 2 years time, when I'm in Year 10, I might be able to go to China too! :D It's a lot to look forward to, but sadly no SeaWorld... :(

Anomaly!
Well today I've spend a lot of time on Blender 2.63 (this new version is soooo much better than 2.49 was) and I was thinking "what could I make?". I decided in the end to make an anomaly from Primeval, because they are so beautiful and amazing. So, with a little help from a YouTube user called PrimordialSeries, I have created my own little anomaly. This is what the original looks like:
And this is a still from the little animation I made:

OK it's far for perfect but it's good. :) I'll post a link to the video once it's finished uploading because at the moment, there's still 22 mins before it finishes uploading. :/

Feeling Better Now :)
Over the last few days, since Tuesday, I've been ill and I've been off school. Now, I'm finally getting better!! :D All I've done for the past few days is sleep, lounge on the sofa and watch lots of Primeval in my room, but now it's finally stopping and I feel lots better. That's all I have to say :)

Just Stuff
It was my birthday five days ago so now I'm 13! :D I don't really have much else to say as nothing has really happened since. I had a good birthday though. Back at school now (I started the day before my birthday) and I've already got a lot of homework. I wish one of them was editing a video or making a Photoshop image or something like that, but sadly it's all boring stuff. As for my YouTube stuff, my latest video is "~Korake Ti Znam~" which I made on Windows Movie Maker so it's not great, but it's quite nice and calming. Not a clue what the songs about because, as you might have guessed, it's not sung in English. It is sung is Bosnian. I can't speak much Bosnian, so yeah... not a clue what it's about. The song's nice enough though.
It's raining, which sucks because that means summer's probably over! D: Oh well... have a good day everyone!!

Sea Life Scarborough, New Video, Primeval and My Birthday
I really need to catch up because a lot happened over the last couple of days and I haven't written about it! Oh no! :o Anyway, on Friday, I went to to Scarborough to the Sea Life Centre and got to see lots of seals, penguins, otters, sharks, turtles, fish and more. No dolphins, sadly. :'( My favourite couple of moments had to be when a sea turtle swam over my head, the adorable rescued baby seals, feeding the fish and Michael, the amazing hyper-active seal, who kept sliding over the rocks. Soon, Michael will be back in the ocean, so I'll never get to see him again :'(. I took tonnes of videos and my dad took some photos, so I'll post them sometime. (yes, along with the photos from surfing, Flamingoland and everything else. I haven't forgotten).
Also, after a morning of hardcore video editing, I created this music video to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "The Mountain", which is a remix of In The Hall Of The Mountain King. Woop. Here it is:
Love it! Also, this is kinda random, but this morning I was watching Primeval (my all-time favourite TV program where these mysterious time holes called 'anomalies' appear and let creatures from the past and future into modern day) and it wasn't one of the later episodes, it was only series 3, episode 3. It started off quite cute with these ADORABLE little prehistorical dinosaur things running around a hospital. Fortunately, they didn't eat people. (that makes a change: it's one of the few episodes where no one is killed or injured by a creature :o !! ) Then it got quite bad when Helen (this evil person) blows up the Anomaly Research Centre and shoots Nick Cutter, my favourite character! Noooooooooooo!! It was really sad when he was just laid in these smoking ruins of the ARC telling Connor to keep everything going and then dying. :'( I was crying my eyes out, which is the first time in Primeval!
More happier stuff now. Today's the day of my birthday party! Yay! I'm going ice skating with my friends so that should be fun, coz I'm a fairly good skater.
Oh and also, I went into London on Tuesday and Wednesday. I visited to Harry Potter studios (OMG it was amazing) and went shopping the next day. So I'll post pictures of them too.

Photos!
I'm quite bored and fed up today, because the only thing I have to do is homework. :( Stuff like maths revision, French revision and for RE, I have to trace my family tree back as far as I can. I've only got to my grandparents. :( I've already done my Chinese and geography, and I've still got a ton of homework left. I'll do some more of it this afternoon, but until then, I've been watermarking some of my photos from Switzerland to go on Flickr (NeonOrca photography). Here's some of my personal favourites:
I've also been on Musicshake (it's so addictive!! :P) and I've been working on a piece of music called Neon Orca (nothing to do with my photos though, I just liked the name). I'm not exactly sure what genre you'd call it, but I said electronic because there's lots of synthesizers and beats in it, but there is also a violin that plays the main tune so I'm really not sure. I also added some seashore sounds at the end. Hehe, I couldn't resist.
And by the way, I'm making more 3D computer graphics! I haven't done this in a while, I hope I still know what to do! Hopefully, I post some animation clips on YouTube and on here so look out for them.
Beautiful sunrise over a Swiss lake
Snowy mountain
Ice up-close
Snowy mountain face
Blackbird in the Alps
Beautiful blue lake
Trout swimming around
That water's too clear to be real...

Rookie Lifeguard Lesson
I've just got home from my 4th rookie lifeguard lesson. Basically, it's where I learn loads of personal survival and lifesaver stuff in the pool and then when I've finished the course, I become a qualified lifeguard. Useful when I go to college, because it means I've got a job while I'm studying. And apart from anything else, it's fun and it takes me one step closer to the dream of being a killer whale trainer. Anyway, we started with the usual 10-length warm up, today we did freestyle (front crawl). When that was done, we got into our pyjamas and then practiced the tow bag (that little red bag thing with yellow rope in it) in pairs. I paired up with Yeva (not sure if I spelled that right :S), who is now a new friend of mine. I threw it out and OMG, it reached her so I pulled her back in. We did the tow bag for a bit more, then we had to throw floats at our 'casualty' so they could swim back. I was worse than terrible at this. My float ended up all over the pool. :/ Whoops! We finished it off with some swimming stamina, then a butterfly race. I lost. :( But it was in our pyjamas.
Also, I found another London 2012 50p coin, this time with the badminton symbol on it. I've got three now: Badminton, fencing and the aquatics one that I bought, as well as a £5 coin.

Missing Trua, Old English Dolphinariums, and Other Random Stuff
Lately, I've been missing my little baby Trua and all the other killer whales, and SeaWorld, and basically everything else in Florida. :( It's so stupid that dolphins and killer whales aren't allowed to be in aquariums in England, since it was banned in 1993. Mind you, when I visited Flamingoland the other day, the sealion show took place in what was once the dolphin tank there and it was very small for dolphins. They also used to have a killer whale named Cuddles, and he definitely wouldn't have had much room to move. Oh, and the Flamingoland pool was one of the biggest dolphin pools in England. It's quite deep (5.something metres) but still VERY small. Here's a picture:

Oh the smallness...
In other news, I'm really excited because on Tuesday, I'm going to London (only my second time ever, can you believe it?!?!) to visit the Harry Potter studios with my cousin Sarah! Woo! I'll post lots of pictures when I'm back. And talking about pictures, I still haven't got the Flamingoland photos onto my laptop, but when I do, I'll post them. Anways, I gotta go now because I'm off for my rookie lifeguard lesson. I'll post about it when I return! See y'all!

Flamingo Land and Sealions!
Yesterday, I went to Flamingo Land theme park!! My first time in something like seven years! While we were there, we went and watched a sealion show that the park held. It was lots of fun, especially when one of the sealions, Merlin, wouldn't do as he was told and just walked off. Lol! XD Afterwards, I got to do something totally awesome. I went backstage and fed one of the sealions, Miguel (Miguel is amazing <3). He was really gentle, and just followed whoever had the fish. Then, we went out onto the stage and trained the one of the sealions, Marvin, and played with him. I learned the signals for wave, clap and smile. It was fun and surprisingly easy to do the different signals, and Marvin did each one right. Next, I threw some plastic hoops into the water. Marvin caught some of them round his neck, or swam after the other ones. After that, I threw Marvin a ball and he caught it on his nose and balanced it there. The next time I threw it, I threw it into the water and Marvin balanced it on his nose as he swam back. The training session finished with a photo of me and Marvin both sticking our tongues out. Cute!
After the sealions, we had lunch and then went on some rides. We didn't go on any big rollercoasters because two were too scary for me (one of these was the steepest roller coaster in the world, by the way!), we couldn't find the queue for one of them and by the time we'd got to the one I wanted to go on, the queue was closed. :( I did go on some rides though, like the swinging pirate ship and these spinning chair things. But we spend most of the time looking round the zoo, and then we watched another sealion show.
I recorded all of the second show on my Flip camcorder (it died just before the first show but then I had the genius idea of taking the battery pack out of it and putting two AA batteries in instead :P). It was quite funny because they brought Miguel out to do the first half, and he was being really silly and hyper and the trainer was having difficulty keeping him under control. Miguel's final trick was climbing up these steps onto a tower and jumping off. After he had done that that, he was supposed to go backstage, but he instead decided to climb back up the steps and jump off again. XD We also saw Clive, who walked along on his front flippers and jumped up to touch this ball and whatnot. Before he came out, the trainer asked if anyone had seen Clive before and I was the only one who put my hand up. Embarrassing! :$ Anyways, after the second show, we watched the sealions underwater for a bit, then had a last look round everywhere and went home. We spent seven hours at Flamingo Land! :)
I'll be posting the photos and videos soon, but they probably won't include the ones from surfing because they all corrupted. :'(

Surfing and Shouka
Today I went body surfing with my besto Zoe!! :) We had great fun and took pictures of ourselves underwater (I hope to post them a little later on ;) ) and so on. Funniest moment of the day was me falling off a zipwire in from of everyone. Embarrasing! :$ Anyways, surfing was lots of fun. I surfed on the waves a lot longer than Zoe so... erm... woo! It was so much fun!
In other news in the world of killer whales, I can happily announce that Shouka has arrived at SeaWorld San Diego from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. This is amazing news for me because in all honesty, I think that Shouka was unhappy at Six Flags, what with the fact she had a really small tank and was ALL ALONE, with not even a dolphin companion! :( Orcas on their own just isn't right, they are so social! I mean, it was just over a month ago when a video was released of her attacking a trainer during a show. D: But now she's at at SeaWorld with a huge pool complex to swim in and eight other orcas. So over the next couple of weeks, Shouka will be introduced to them orcas and with a bit of luck, she'll find a friend! :) Here's a picture of Shouka been lowered into her tank. It doesn't belong to me, but does belong to CBS8:

More piccies of Shouka being moved to SeaWorld San Diego!! :) I'm so happy! :)
Here, we see Shouka being lowered into the water with lots of SeaWorld trainer gathered round.

Surfing
I know this is the third time I've posted today but I'm kinda obsessed now! XD Anyways, tomorrow I'm going surfing with my friend Zoe (providing the weather's OK :P). Woo hoo! So yah, I'll post some pictures from our surfing adventure tomorrow!
Underwater Photos
I like to go scuba diving, so here are some random photos of me underwater:
With an underwater horse reading a magazine
With another, more normal, underwater horse
Random photos from Malta
Me by the mast of a shipwreck (wreck of the P29 to be precise)
And finally, with nothing to do with scuba diving, me and my baby Trua!! <3
Vicky!
Here's some pictures of Vicky, a baby killer whale born at Loro Parque on August 3rd 2012. I don't own these pictures, they belong to Loro Parque:
N'aww. Isn't she just adorable!
