Russian Orca Update

Hello, it's me again and I've got some new info from Orcahome.de about the Russian orca that was captured a few months ago. Well first of all, the orca is a female and her name is possibly Narnia, although this hasn't been confirmed yet. She is about 16 feet long, which means she is roughly 6 years old, so she is the same age as Malia in SeaWorld Orlando. I feel so sorry for Narnia, she's still really quite young, although not as young as most orcas that are captured. Also, her current home at the TINRO Centre is only temporary while she is being trained. She is still owned to Sochi Dolphinarium, who captured her. Once she is trained, it is believed she is either going back to Sochi Dolphinarium, or a new aquarium called Vladivostok Aquarium or maybe even somewhere outside of Russia entirely.

So yes, there's photos and information to go with all of this. I don't want to post the photos on here, but you can find them by following this link:

You can also find some more information here:

Hopefully there will be even more information coming soon :)
